Music is Magical, Music is Fun!

The secret to enjoying and developing a passion for Music is to start early, and we at Swirl Music are here to help your child take their first steps in the wonderful world of sounds, notes and beats with our Magic of Music program.

‘Magic of Music’ is a music and movement approach to early childhood development, catering to a mixed age group of children from EC2 to kindergarten.  The course encourages a playful spontaneous experiencing of music, learning and recognising rhythms, beats and sounds.

Come, take this magical musical journey with us.

Group 2:

Course Name : Kids Who Rock!!

Grades: Grade1, Grade 2

Class Duration: 1 hour and 15 mins

Course Description:

Get started early and watch your children tip toe their way to Rockin’ and Rollin’ with our ‘Kids Who Rock!!’ program.

Based on our philosophies of making Music light, enjoyable and above all fun, we bring concepts such as beats, movements and rhythms to your child, helping them prepare a strong foundation for further music. This program is primarily vocal and percussion based and the kids are guaranteed to blow the roof off with the fun that we have.

Closing Engagement:

Parents will be invited for a short performance scheduled in the last class.  Alternatively, a video recording can be sent to the parents.

Group 3:

Course Name: Rockstar101

Grades: Grade 3, Grade 4, Grade 5

Course Duration: 1 hour and 30 mins

Course Description:

Aimed at creating the foundation of a good solid music education, but with instruction imparted in an easy, organised and fun manner, the ‘Rockstar101’ approach combines teaching individual instruments to children and then watching them come together to play as an ensemble or a band.

The ‘Rockstar101’ program is your child’s first taste of a serious playing experience that combines individual skill and the opportunity to jam and produce music with other musicians and other instruments.

This program is broken up into 5 different instruments/courses that your child can choose from.

Guitar: Blast those chords!

This class will focus on learning the basics of music and the fundamentals of playing guitar.  Our faculty of teachers span across extraordinary guitarists and professional musicians who will lead these sessions with a fun, multi-layered and gratifying approach to learning guitar as well as play in an ensemble.

Keyboard: Tickle those keys!

The activities of this class include learning the basics of music and the fundamentals of keyboard with emphasis on playing in an ensemble. Timing, expressiveness and creativity are a few of the areas of musicianship your child will be introduced to in this class.

 

Percussion: Get the beat started!
Your child will be exposed to basics of percussion and the concepts of timing, rhythm and  beats. This course opens up their world to  new types of instruments from around the world including the djembe. the congas and bongo.  The kids will be introduced to individual and group music making, like being part of a ‘Drum Circle’ or playing with other instruments in an ensemble.

Music Production: Create tunes with every mouse click

Keeping in mind how tech-savvy and creative our students are, our music production sessions teach music culture and theory from composition to production, where students can create music from scratch using nothing but their computers.  The program will give the kids an introduction to mixing, mash-ups, masters and remixes, as well as give an overview on how to manipulate sounds with professional techniques.
